Nic Hancock

Born and raised in Central Illinois, Nic brings over 20 years of experience in the Lightning Protection industry and an extensive background in building inspection, construction, and safety compliance. A long-time member of the IBEW, and affiliated with respected industry organizations like NFPA, UL, and the Lightning Protection Institute (LPI), Nic’s work has always focused on protecting people, property, and infrastructure.

With certifications in FAA sUAS piloting, thermography, computer technology, and construction occupations, Nic has been using drones for years to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of inspection processes. What began as a hobby evolved into a powerful tool—especially for assessing hard-to-reach lightning protection systems.

In 2019, Nic began researching global trends in drone-based inspections. Through connections with top system designers and analysts worldwide, he identified a gap in the Midwest market—and launched Aerial Elite Solutions to fill it. Today, he leads the company with a mission to deliver high-quality aerial imaging and data services that help clients work smarter, safer, and more confidently.
